You may have noticed that the decaying double-ended sign after Higher Ansty at Ansty Cross has disappeared. Although perhaps not as impressive as the tall roundel-topped fingerposts it does deserve attention and it has been removed for some much-needed restoration.
As the last of the ‘finger-style’ signs in the parish to be brought back to life its rejuvenation will see completion of the successful repair of all the parish’s fingerposts. With the addition of ‘Hilton’ and ‘Ansty’ onto the new arm it should also help prevent bemused visitors getting lost in Higher Ansty.
Meanwhile, we are looking to installing the new sign as quickly as possible and thank you for your patience whilst the restoration work is being undertaken.
